Music magazine initial research

The biggest publishers in the music magazines are; Bauer, IPC, Dennis, Natmags and Conde Naste. They alone dominate 90% of the worlds magazine industry.

The music magazines that they each produce are;
Bauer produce- Kerrang!, Mojo and Q.
IPC produce- NME and Uncut.
Dennis- Do not publish any music magazines.
NatMags- Do not publish any music magazines.
Conde Nast- Do not produce any music magazines.

As you can see IPC produce NME which is one of the biggest music magazines in the world. However you willl also notice that Dennis, NatMags and Conde Nast do not produce music magazines.

There are currently 22 music magazines in the UK.

The audiences they mainly target would be teenagers and early twenty's. However there are also specific music magazines aimed at older people like classical music and folk.
